Welcome to Lamarth Farm

Campsite & Self Catering Cottage

Relaxed and spacious, our farm is perfectly situated to explore The Lizard and West Cornwall. We welcome families, groups and dogs, with plenty of space for everybody, and a designated enclosed exercise field for your furry best friends. A back to basics, non-EHU site with spotless hot shower and toilet facilities… or if you prefer, a charming self-catering cottage - there’s something for everyone who loves the outdoor life.

We’re excited to welcome you to this magical little corner of Cornwall.

Our campsite is a large spacious grass field. Out facilities are kept to the basics and include two clean, well-maintained blocks, which have showers, toilets, basins, a baby change in the ladies and a covered area for washing up.

In our “Handy Hut” you can find a fridge and freezer for your use, and sockets for charging battery packs and phones. Plus local information, books and games to borrow, logs for sale to make a campfire, and it’s a great place to view our farm animals.

The large grass field also has a central recreational area for kids (and grown ups) to play football, fly a kite or run around, burn off some energy and make new friends.

There’s a designated enclosed dog exercise area on site, three dog-friendly beaches a short drive away and a great dog friendly pub in Gunwalloe village.

Ready for you to arrive, our modern comfortable 2 bedroom cottage sleeps 5, is dog friendly and ideally situated for exploring the Lizard Peninsula and West Cornwall. With a well appointed kitchen, bathroom and linens and towels provided, all you need to bring is yourselves.

5 minutes from the town of Helston, there’s easy access to supermarkets and local bakeries for all of your supplies. Eating out is a pleasure too, with some excellent pubs and restaurants all within a 10 minute drive.

Our farm

Lamarth Farm is a working farm, so you’ll see and hear tractors and other big farm machinery at work. We don’t have animals, but we do have chickens and ducks so there are fresh eggs available. We’re close to the Royal Navy base of Culdrose, so you might also see helicopters and gliders as well!

As a working farm, we politely request you stay on the camping field and not venture into the yard. Dogs must be under control at all times.

Light a fire, grab a glass of wine or a hot chocolate and watch the sun set over Mounts Bay. Our pitch sizes are unrestricted, so you’ll have plenty of space to unwind and make yourself at home.

Our family

Luke and his extended family have farmed this area for many generations, with Luke the 3rd generation to farm at Lamarth. Rachel and Luke are looking at ways of diversifying their farm, and are happy to chat about the joys (and challenges) of farming in Cornwall. Along with their boys and Molly the dog, they look forward to welcoming you to Lamarth Farm.
